Here you can view many of the pictures that I've taken, conveniently grouped into albums. If you'd like a larger/higher quality version of any of them, just let me know.

Planes, Trains, & Automobiles

BrianGrad
A Transit Adventure
I took advantage of a vacation day to try out the new Link line to the airport. Starting from my apartment in Redmond I caught the 545 to downtown Seattle, then transferred to Link at Westlake Station. It took exactly an hour and a half to get from my front door to the ticket counters at Sea-Tac.

Brian's Graduation

BrianGrad
In December Brian graduated from WSU, so Mom, Dad and I headed over the mountains for the commencement ceremony.

Seattle Marathon 2009

Seattle Marathon
I ran my first full marathon in the Seattle Marathon 2009, finishing 1446th overall (out of 2223) in 4:31:31, only a minute and a half longer than I had been aiming for. I was 1027/1442 men and 160/216 in my division (men 25 - 29). I think it turned out very well, largely due to my parent's role as an excellent support crew (with honorable mentions going to Gatorade, Gu Chomps, and Tylenol).

Bellingham Bay Half Marathon 2009

Bellingham Bay Half Marathon
I ran the half-marathon portion of the Bellingham Bay Marathon, starting and ending in downtown Bellingham with a course traveling through several neighborhoods and along the bay. My parents served as intrepid photographers and support crew. I finished in 1:44:33, a 7:59 pace and a new personal record (barely). I was 128th out of 1039 overall, 12/36 in my division, and 92/317 among the men.

Spike & Dig 2009

Spike & Dig 2009
Tom, Gildas, Kristina, and I ventured over the mountains for the 2009 Spike & Dig volleyball tournament in Spokane. Though we didn't win a lot, we did have a great time, and I'm looking forward to heading back next year.

Rock 'N' Roll Half Marathon 2009

Key West & Fort Lauderdale
I ran in the inaugural Rock 'N' Roll Seattle Half Marathon, and completed it in (personal) record time! After 1:46:21 of running I finished 100th in my division (of 592) and 970th overall (of 15668) with an average pace of 8:07. Since I was running I didn't have time to take pictures of my own, but these were conveniently taken by the photographers along the course. There's even a video of me finishing.

Key West & Fort Lauderdale

Key West & Fort Lauderdale This collection of pictures is from a couple of day trips out to Key West and Fort Lauderdale, FL, during a business trip to Miami in March 2009.

This is why we can't have nice things

This is why we can't have nice things. The Seater family tries to take a picture for the Christmas card.

Seattle Marathon 2008

Seattle Marathon 2008 On Sunday November 30th Pat and I ran the Seattle Half Marathon, while Tom and Kristina tackled the full 26.2 miles. It was a great weekend, though by the end of it my legs were none too pleased with me. I finished the 13.1 miles in 1:55:56, coming in 148th out of 471 men in my age division, 1010th overall (top 1/3)!

Chicago

Chicago In mid-September I flew to Chicago for a business trip. While there I took a day off to play tourist, visiting downtown, the John Hancock Center, the Shedd Aquarium, the Field Museum, Millenium Park, and (of course) the Sears Tower.

Redmond Derby Days

RedmondDerbyDays I hosted a get-together on July 12th for the annual Redmond summer festival, Derby Days. It started off with an afternoon BBQ, followed by a little swimming and then a trip over to the Microsoft campus to play some "beach" volleyball for a few hours. We all returned to my place in time to watch the fireworks, then unwound with some more time in the pool and hot tub. In all, an excellent day.

Denver

Denver I went on a trip to Denver for work, and managed to take a lot of pictures of the area, including downtown, Red Rocks Park, and Buffalo Bill's Grave.

Finally, Sun!

Finally, Sun! The sun came out for a beautiful day. Abundant sunshine, temperatures in the mid-70's, a light breeze. It almost makes the winter worthwhile. I went for a pleasant walk in the evening to the Rotary Park on the Sammamish River and read a book at a shady picnic table for awhile.

Chicken Tikka Masala

Tikka Masala Tom and I bravely made our own chicken tikka masala... and it turned out great!

We loosely followed this recipe.

New Apartment

Lake Serene

Lake Serene On October 13th Tom, Kristina, Adam, and I went on a day hike to Lake Serene, just off Highway 2 near Index, WA. It turned out to be a much longer and more arduous hike than we had expected, but it was great nonetheless. We saw some great views of Lake Serene, Bridal Veils Falls, and the surrounding country, all while traversing a trail that almost seemed designed to twist ankles or cause falls.

HDTV

HDTV By popular demand, some pictures of (and from) my new HDTV.

Now with birthday dances!
