On the first day we went to UW. This is Yo and I outside of Suzzallo, after I gave my unofficial tour. Gerberding Hall, the administration building. Yo in front of Suzzallo. Johnson Hall and a few students. Yo at Drumheller Fountain. Mike and Yo. Mike and me. Closer up. Drumheller Fountain. Yo in Red Square. Yo in the Quad. North campus, the Drama building. Hutchinson hall, I think. Steve showing Yo and me the sights at Husky Stadium. The north side of the stadium. Yo discovered Mike taking pictures of us. The giant HuskyTron. Brothers. Outside the stadium. The trees almost disguise the conrete bunker of McMahon. Nice fall colors. On Saturday we had an excellent brunch at the Brown Bag Cafe. Although we had planned to go see Downtown, the clouds had other plans. We couldn't even see the tops of most of the buildings. Safeco Field, home of the Mariners. A giant shiny Coca-Cola truck. Qwest Field, home of the Seahawks. Driving through the International District. Apparently called Chinatown now. The tallest building in Seattle, the Columbia Tower. It's so tall it doesn't even have a top. The Seattle Public Library. A control room dangling on the back of a billboard. That truck is the way out. We're parked in there somewhere. Fourth row up, just to the right of center. Mike and I found a snazzy pink suit, with iridescent purple lining. Comfortable shows to go with the suit? Onward to Pike Place Market. I took a picture of Mike taking a picture of Yo. The actual picture of Yo. Mike and Yo at Pike Place Market. There was a big crowd inside. Yo found strawberries and a pig. Luckily the pig couldn't eat the strawberries. This is the tunnel to Australia. More strawberries. Giant cranes in the distance. From Japan? No way! Creepy poster in a magic shop. The original Starbucks. The new Washington Mutual building. When Mike left a year ago it was just a steel superstructure. Mike and Yo making their way down the street. The Alaskan Way Viaduct was closed for its semiannual inspection. AKA how likely is it to fall down this year? Looking north along the viaduct. That truck is driving the wrong way. Someone should tell him. Collision! Mike and Yo in front of Elliot Bay. Me and Mike. Looking back toward downtown across Pike Place. Another picture of a picture. Mike and Pike Place. A ferry making its way out into the bay. Shiny and new. Broken and old. Strolling along the sidewalk. Yet another pig. Yo beating up the pig. Blind as a ... pig? Under the viaduct. I hope it doesn't fall on us. Stretching off into the distance. There's that buidling again. Don't camp here. Cool stairs and a ramp. This is apparently what Chistopher Columbus looked like. He got doused in red paint, apparently. The skyline looming over Columbus. Yo found him. Those two just fight all the time. Ok, maybe not _all_ the time. Another look up at downtown. Washington in a nutshell. Rain and slugs. Horse! A ferry in the way in. Big building. There it is again. These three people couldn't figure out how to pay for parking. So I took a picture of them (with the flash off, of course). The Exit is to the right. Yup, downtown Seattle. A view from Alki in West Seattle of the Space Needle and a ferry. A panorama clearly stitched together from several photos. This is just a cropped version of a single picture, but it looks much better. Mike having is picture taken by Yo (and me too). From the front. We're a little blurry. That happens sometimes in Seattle. Yo and the Seattle skyline. Lots of blue in the one. The Space Needle. Another nice skyline. This one is a little crisper. Rocks and water. Back at my place, Jake and Yo got to know each other. It's nice of her to offer, but I don't think Jake can fit those in his mouth. Miek and Jake become friends, despite the couch being in the way.
