Album: New Apartment (61 images)

Here are a bunch of pictures of my move to a new apartment in late March 2008. The pictures actually start several weeks prior to the move because the guys renovating the new place left it unlocked on the weekends, and I snuck in to see how things were going.

This is the extent of my move, a whopping 500 feet. Here's the new floorplan, with a rough idea of where I'm going to put my furniture. This is the living room, looking at the deck with the dining room on the right. Despite the presence of the toilet this is actually the bedroom. Bathroom. The dining room and kitchen. At least, it will be a kitchen once the appliances are put in. The living room, with the fireplace hiding on the left. The view out the dining room window. On a clear day you can see the Cascades off in the distance. View from outside. Mine is hidden in between the stairs and the elevator tower on the right. Another outdoor view. I wish the top floor had the bay window too... oh well. They've put in the flooring and counters! Still mising the sink and cabinet doors, though. Appliances have arrived! The bathroom has been re-assembled. The fireplace has been re-finished too. Kitchen, minus the refridgerator and stove. Another view of the kitchen. Oh, right, Tom and Kristina helped me move it to the new place. Starting to fill up. You can see my priorities... I'm glad I kept that box for the TV. Hopefully the bed won't catch on fire overnight. So many boxes! And that's only half of them. Thanks for the corrugated stock, Adam! Dad and I figuring out how to get the couch inside. It's in! It was a shame to paint over those colors, they looked really good. Who knew paint could do this? What an intimidating pile of stuff! Finally, everything is put together.
