On the way to gate A8. Even at 4 in the morning there are a number of people here. From the SkyLink terminal at Dallas Fort Worth. The airport is fairly busy. I think American Airlines is the only airline at this airport... Sitting on my flight to San Antonio, looking at a larger plane next to us. That plane is very small in comparison. Subdivisions outside Dallas. More subdivisions. Puffy white clouds. My room for the week. The couch turned out to have a hide-a-bed in it. A nice big desk. Ugh, 97 degrees. I think it ended up being warmer than this. And can you believe they've got 7 kids??!?!one!?eleven!! A great view out the window. Only in Texas... an empty school bus towing a car. Even the cows are bored in Texas, there's nothing to do but stand under a tree. This looked like a landmark, so I took a picture of it. I have no idea what it's called. A realyl weird looking art gallery out in the middle-of-nowhere South-East of San Antonio. Unfortunately it was closed. Yes, those are shoes. On the other side of the lot was a liquor store with the obligatory Texas SUV. This was not my plane, though it was at my gate. I had a long time to wait, so I took a lot of pictures. This plane is pointy. The control tower looming in the background. Because the area is so flat, you can actually see this tower from a large portion of town. Bottles of nitrogen. I don't know what they're for. No Smoking Propane. Backlit clouds. In the plane. If you squint you can see downtown San Antonio through the haze. Yes, there are lakes in Texas. A neat rainbow effect from the plane. We flew into the edges of a storm. Angry looking clouds. Still more. Maybe we shouldn't be flying here. I don't think we need the end of the wing anyway. Is it odd to see the ground through the wing? We seem to have missed the Dallas airport. A very reflective lake/pond/body-of-water. The sun trying to break through the clouds. We're close to the freeway. A strange sculpture thing in the DFW airport. A view from further back. If you're ever stuck in DFW, I recommend stopping by Terminal D. It's much nicer than B or C. Shiny new escalator. I think it looks like an onion. A view from inside. If you step on the lights in the floor they make different noises. Waiting at gate D16 for my flight to Seattle. I think Samsung paid for this terminal. Looks like they forgot to hook up a few wires. I checked the cable, it wasn't connected to anything. If the alarm sounds you have to run fast, because the flames are only inches behind you. One last shot. There's my flght, departing at 7:52, now 9:30... I spent close to three hours waiting in this airport. Finally on the plane. I think this is Dallas, but to be honest I'm not sure. More blurry city lights. It's hard to tell, but the light on the left is one of the plane running lights, while the one on the right is the moon. mvi_1329.wmv
