Album: Summer 2007 II (36 images)

More pictures from the Summer of 2007, beginning in mid-August with a visit from my family. In early September I met Brian and a couple members of the WSU FSAE team to see their car and UW's. Later that month Mike visited on vacation from Japan, and I went on a weekend trip to Portland/Beaverton for Kevin's going-away party.

The visit started off with an excellent lunch at Kanishka. I'm showing Grandma how cool cell phones can be. Mom and Grandma blinking on the couch. Brian was incredibly excited to be visiting. So was Dad. Jake had a good time since there were so many people to play with. Brian seems determined to resist Jake's attempts to play. Grandma playing with my toys. Brian brought a Dremel so that we could makes some changes to my laptop dock. Attempt at family portrait - Take 1. Take 2. How does that self-timer work, anyway? There we go. At the UW campus September 9th. Ahhh, the dorms. There's Brian arriving with the WSU FSAE trailer. Last year's car (and Brian). I thought the tassels were a nice touch. I hope the Roving Vehicle learned something useful when it ran it whatever it was. The UW FSAE car at a Boeing parking lot in Everett. Getting ready to drive. I think it'd be really cool if you could remotely pilot the car with the laptop. There it goes. Some Boeing airplane taking off nearby. Driver: 'It was shifting all by itself.' Programmer: 'That's bizarre.' Time to get out the laptop again. Mike, his family, and me at Claim Jumper in Redmond. Mike found me. Sometimes phones can be a little confusing. Mike, Steve, and me at Bellevue Place. Heading South to Portland for Kevin's party on 9/22. I didn't actually take any pictures inside at the party, but this is where we were. Later in the evening we re-grouped at Kells Irish Pub in downtown Portland. Live music! Back in Seattle on the way home after dropping Tom off. Husky Stadium looked deserted. I took a Monday off from work, and found my way down to Idylwood Park on Lake Sammamish. I spent several nice hours here reading a book and enjoying the sun. Partway through I moved to a sunnier spot. This was a great way to wrap up the summer, even if Fall has already (technically) started.
