Dinner at Little Tokyo on the night before Thanksgiving. Yum, two spiced up turkeys. Brian got pixelized by the screen door. Heating up the oil for the turkeys. The heat made interesting patterns in the oil. Mom was making desserts. That's certainly orange. Made from a real pumpkin... in a can. Brian was also cooking, but on the computer. This is Brian's eye. Lighting the fryer. Mom is putting the finishing touches on dessert (lots of butter). The first turkey, after being deep fried. Three of us at work in the kitchen. Make that four. The second turkey, ready to go into the fryer. Steaming away. Meanwhile, Brian and I were making the mashed potatoes. Baked goods. Very good. This thing looks dangerous. Plus it's really hard to wash. The table is ready. View from the other end. The second turkey on the way out. It's a two person job. Next! Mashing up the potatoes some more. Jake also came out to play. Gus and Rosy getting to know Jake. Still playing. Brian brought out the AIBO cards to show a few tricks. Jake can even roll over. Shake hands! Mmm, dinner's ready. More food. Enjoying the meal. Mom was surprised to be caught doing the dishes. Brian showing Mark and Pat some of his formula car pictures. Jake didn't get a moments rest. At least he shared his toys. Time for dessert. Still washing dishes. Papa took this picture of the Bay on Friday afternoon. The Alaska Ferry. 'No, don't take a picture with the flash!' Brian pushing me down the hall. At least it wasn't the stairs. Dad trying to sleep. A picture of another camera. Getting ready for the annual Christmas Card Picture. Something has gone awry. Where's Brian looking? And why are we all looking at him? Which camera are we looking at? Mirror, mirror, on the wall... So many MOTO phones! This clear piece of plastic will stop the flash for sure. Is Brian begging for money? Oh, he's just throwing the remote control in the air. Saturday morning, and there are 4 inches of snow on the ground. And my car. Dad thoughtfully brushed the snow off so that I could leave. Ok, fine. It was 3 and 3/4 inches, not 4. Iceberg. The big tree in the backyard. Snow on the TV antenna. A broader view. Another view of the cul-de-sac, this time with better lighting. Time for a picnic! Snowy backyard. Meanwhile in Redmond, nothing is happening. I like the contrast between the building, the trees, and the sky. Sunday night, back in Bellingham. 14 inches of snow. I'm glad I wasn't there needing to drive South. Who would've thought that snow could pile up that high on a railing? Now is definitely not picnic time. Monday morning. Looks like a good day to stay home. Finally on Monday night, white stuff starts to stick in Redmond. Despite what you may think, that's hail, not snow. More hail. Everything is nice and white. Now that's snow. Lots of snow. It's not very deep, but it's building up. Cars are getting covered. Looking West. mvi_1519.wmv mvi_1558.wmv mvi_1559.wmv mvi_1593.wmv mvi_1626.wmv
